As you will see, there are a lot of options that may be unusual for you. There are a few recipes that call for Canola Oil, please replace this with avocado oil! Canola oil is not a healthy oil. When a recipe calls for olive oil on a day when we do not eat olive oil, feel free to either replace with avocado oil, or you can even just use water or a little vegetable stock. Many recipes do not need oil at all despite the recommendation. Always know that if I included a recipe that says "chicken stock" this is to be replaced with vegetable stock.
My recommendation is that you also add a salad to your lunch and/or dinner each day.
Also, try to skip the snacking and stay away from the typical pitfalls of fasting like chips. If you want to snack a couple times during the week, I've included snack ideas for this first menu to use for the duration of Lent.
