Baby's First Bites - 6 months Week 1

Composed by: Ana-Maria Janes

Nutritional Details

The first week is the most exciting, and remember this is supposed to be fun and a time for exploring.

Here are few things to note about this meal plan:
--> 1 oz is apron. 1 tbsp
--> 1 medium apple makes 2 oz of puree
--> 1 medium pear makes 2 oz of puree
--> your baby may eat less than 2 oz of puree, but just in case, I like to make sure there's enough just in case she goes wild.

--> For finger foods, cut or shape the veggies as close to 3 inch pieces and if possible in a "cylindrical" shape.
--> Your baby is unlikely to eat more than 2 slices of fruit or veggie, but make enough extra as some are for sure going to hit the floor ;)

Your grocery list for the first week is:
* 6 apples
* 1 butternut squash
* 1 pear

Hi Lovely!

I'm a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a mom of two little munchkins.

In my house, we are introducing solids to my Little Tank and guiding my toddler to be an adventurous eater.

My passion is to help moms nourish their babies and kids. I love teaching introducing solids, help with picky eating and mealtime challenges, guide mom’s through their kid’s allergies or frequent colds and flu!

Growing up I was a very picky eater. If it didn’t look right, smell right, feel right it just was not going into my mouth.  I later learned I was a supertaster, which basically means I have more tastebuds and taste everything (especially bitter) more intensely. So trust me when I tell you that I KNOW what your little one is going through because I felt the exact same anxiety and pressure to eat they do.  And as a mom, I know the pressure is on to get those little monkey butts to eat!

My Baby's First Bites program helps moms introduce solids to their babies without the confusion, overwhelm or worry that they will "miss something".  For more information, you can check out the details here.

P.S. Psssst.  If you don't know where to start with introducing solids, download "Baby's First meal Plans: 4 weeks of meal plan guide for your 6 month old"  here and follow the meal plans here.
